We looked over menu and thought nachos and sampler platter. Omg the amount of food was amazing. The food was amazing. Will stop again when in town.

First time trying this place and it's my last. Picture it, Sicily 1922. No not really, picture a Thursday night at 6:41 pm and there's not even 15 people in the place. After being taken on the longest walk to a booth, it took 9 minutes 45 second for our waitress to introduce herself. I was ready to leave.
We started out ordering just waters without lemons. They both arrived with lemons. It wasn't good from the start.
I got the Italian grinder and my girlfriend ordered the buffalo chicken tenders. The best part of the meal was that the food came out super fast. My sandwich was melted cheese on slightly warm meat with a dash of Italian dressing. The buffalo chicken tenders were soggy and limp. I asked for Cajun fries, they came out plain.
It was a very underwhelming first visit. I do not see myself coming back -

If you're looking for a place to hang out and watch a game - this place is pretty good. They have TVs everywhere, including a TV at every table! There is memorabilia everywhere in the store, and it would take several minutes to walk through and see it all.
If you're only here for the food - it's decent. Nothing spectacular, or something you'd drive 30+ minutes just to eat. All in all, I'm glad I got to come here twice on the trip and try it out. -

After a long day hanging out in my city that I love, going to the churchill downs museum (next review), hanging at the garvin gates blues festival, having dinner at Noodles and company (next, next review) we ended up at the cardinal cafe to watch the first half of the university of Louisville vs. Wake Forest football game. Since we had already eaten we opted to sit st the bar. Good choice. Another couple also there to watch the game sat next to us. Always great to have fellow fans to high five and cheer with Durant a game. Also had a cool young man sit next to us who was from California here on business. Fun to meet out of towners and share stories and Louisville events. My husband had a couple of beers and I drank some coffee. But our bartender, server Ryan was so polite and attentive to us while also serving food to the bar patrons and making all drinks for the entire restaurant. Good service, nice friendly atmosphere and a true U of L bar experience. Plenty of parking and they also have good food. Just didn't eat this time around.

Big menu, big restaurant. Service was way too slow for lunch rush. My food was edible. Had the chili and the turkey & bacon sandwich (which was grilled in their pizza oven). The turkey was a little slimey- prob close to expiration.
